What an amazing week it's been. In just the first 24 hours, there were more than 2 million people using the new Firefox 2 browser. We were seeing downloads as high as 30 per second. 30 per second!!! Wow.

Office Genuine Advantage!

After first introducing a voluntary way for users to ensure that they only used licensed and legal copies of Microsoft Office products, the software giant has announced it is about to make the scheme mandatory.

The move means users who are caught using software that can't be proved to be 100 per cent legal won't get access to add-ons and updates from Microsoft.

Microsoft to release customer service chat-bots

Microsoft has acquired Colloquis, a company that produces language-recognising support programmes.

The Colloquis technology will be incorporated into Microsoft's customer support initiatives to create computer-based interactive customer services dubbed Windows Live Service Agents.
